Full-Time Maintenance Personnel
Columbia Seed Co. Ltd. is looking to immediately fill a Full-Time position for MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL to work in a team environment in a busy seed processing facility.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate safe work practices and possess good communication skills. The right candidate must possess general knowledge of seed cleaning equipment, understanding of electric and gas-powered motors, augers and conveyor belts, forklift & skid steer operation and maintenance, good housekeeping, good recordkeeping by filling out and maintaining all applicable documents and forms.
Job Description includes: perform day to day maintenance in all areas of operation, assistance in all areas of operation when required, and other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Experience and Training:
On site training will be provided for WHMIS, Food Safety, Fire Safety and other applicable courses.
Education:
High School/GED an asset
Class 1 Drivers License considered an asset
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, as well as occasionally lift heavy objects up to 50kg.
Be able to work outdoors for long periods of time.

Full-Time Plant Personnel
Columbia Seed Co. Ltd. is looking to immediately fill a Full-Time position for Seed Cleaning Plant Personnel to work in a team environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate safe work practices and possess good communication skills. Job description includes: plant and color sorter operation, loading and unloading grain on/from trucks and automated bag loading into containers, operating a forklift, packaging, perform day to day maintenance, cleaning work areas and maintaining good housekeeping, good recordkeeping by filling out and maintaining all applicable documents and forms, and other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Experience and Training:
Equipment operation experience, mechanical skills and computer skills are an asset.
On site training will be provided for WHMIS, Food Safety, Fire Safety and other applicable courses.
